Lead Me Lord
Heard this song on Bro. Mike’s blog. I think, it has been there for the longest time and just noticed it now. I was telling Bro. Mike that it was my first time to hear that song. By the voice, I know it’s Gary Valenciano. Who wouldn’t notice that. He’s my favorite OPM (Original “Pinoy” Music) singer. He has such a very powerful voice, specially when he sing Christian song. You will notice that he sings through his heart.
I also learned that this song is quite old. Originally sang by Mr. Basil Valdez, another OPM singer. Then revived by Gary.

Did I forgot to greet someone?
No I didn’t forgot, I purposely didn’t greet her. It would just start a conversation without direction.

My church friends went to a conference, and most of the time they are the one I chat with. Sigh… come back guys. Hahaha, just kiddin, hope they have a great time.

Grown Up Christmas List - Lyrics
Do you remember me?
I sat upon your knee
I wrote to you with childhood fantasies
Well, I’m all grown-up now
Can you still help somehow?
I’m not a child, but my heart still can dream
So here’s my lifelong wish
My grown-up Christmas list
Not for myself, but for a world in need
No more lives torn apart
That wars would never start
And time would heal all hearts
Every man would have a friend
That right would always win
And love would never end
This is my grown-up Christmas list
What is this illusion called the innocence of youth?
Maybe only in that blind belief can we ever find the truth
No more lives torn apart
That wars would never start
And time would heal our hearts
Every man would have a friend
That right would always win
And love would never end
This is my grown-up Christmas list
This is my only lifelong wish
This is my grown-up Christmas list

Johnny Depp is Sweeney Todd
Posted by jepoyzter under Movies

Woooo Hoooo, another Tim Burton and Johnny Depp movie. Perfect for Christmas, and perfect for New Year here (delayed by 3 weeks, silly translators).
Just watched a 30 minute exclusive behind the scenes of this movie on Quicktime Trailer site. Heres the link.
Tim Burton known for his movies like “Batman Returns”, “Corpse Bride”, “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”, and more. I again co-worked with Johnny Depp in this movie. I like Tim Burton’s style of creating movie. Theres always a sense of expectation whenever you hear his name doing another project. Top that with Johnny Depp as his lead actor. These two have done lots of projects in the past few years. Most of them became a box-office hit.
This movie could be gruesome, because of characters portrayed by Jhonny Depp as Sweeney Todd and Helena Bonham Carter as Mrs. Lovett.
This movie is based on the hit Broadway musical which tells the infamous story of Benjamin Barker, a.k.a Sweeney Todd, who sets up a barber shop down in London which is the basis for a sinister partnership with his fellow tenant, Mrs. Lovett.
A story of his revenge to people who done him wrong. Set in Victorian England, where he came back from being exiled in Australia.
Since its an adaptation of a Broadway musical, expect a very good soundtrack with it. Just watching the behind the scenes made me want that soundtrack right away.

I miss Christmas so much.
Posted by jepoyzter under Random Post
It is my 3rd straight Christmas away from my home. Where is home? my home in the Philippines. Now I know the feeling of being away from my relatives, and friends. Eventhough I am living with my parents, and having couple of friends here. Theres nothing more like being with everyone you grew up with and known for the longest time. Theres only one word that would express my feeling everytime the holiday season comes, “Loneliness”.
Despite of some events that I’ll be attending this week for a simple Christmas celebration. Like our company’s Christmas party and our church’s Christmas program. I just don’t have the willingness to join and celebrate. Honestly, it is more comfortable for me to watch all Christmas themed movie on HBO.
Now, It is getting into me. I now appreciate simple Christmas cards that I received in High School. Where the student council would collect all Christmas cards in a box and like postman they will deliver it to you before the Christmas vacation starts. Simple get-together with my college buddies, eating Lasagna with soup (just kiddin Krystl). I also missed the habit of calling my friends on Christmas and just greeting them in one line “Merry Christmas”, even though some are hard to reach because the lines are busy we can still send them messages through mass text messaging.
In our family, its been a tradition that on 23rd of December, where most of us get-together and celebrate my aunt’s and cousin’s birthday. On 24th, my sister and I have to go down south of Manila to visit my “A-ma” (my dad’s mom) and be with my dad’s brothers and sister, and our cousins. That’s the day I get to eat my grandma’s special spaghetti made for me. On the 25th were we went to my other aunt’s house and eat their famous “pancit” and “kaldereta” which we all loved. And lastly before the year end, we have our family reunion. We exchange gifts, play some cheezy games, and sing Karaoke.
What else would top that? Sigh….

Found this wonderful plugin for WordPress called iWPhone WordPress Plugin and Theme Version 0.1.2.It is plugin you install on your WordPress system. Activate it, and whenever you browse your blog created with WordPress using your iPhone or iPod Touch. Presto, its is like the theme they use on iPhone.
Not only you can view my blog, you can also listen to some Mp3s I’ve uploaded. I am using Quicktime to embed mp3s on my blog. So you can stream music on your iPhone. I think I can upload movies, and let you watch on your iPhone as long I am using Quicktime Player. Since Flash wont be supporting iPhone’s and iPod Touch for the mean time. Maybe its cool Quicktime is there. |

Addition to my CD Collection
Posted by jepoyzter under Music, Random Post
I was looking for some new released Christian album. It’s been a while since my last visit to a christian bookstore, the last one was 3 months ago. So went to Integrity Music’s website, and found out that two among my favorite band just released new albums. So went to ELIM quickly to see if they already had stocks.
First one I saw is Parachute Band’s latest album “Roadmaps and Revelation”, they are the same band that sang “Complete” from “All The Earth Album”. One thing I noticed is that they no longer have a female vocalist. What happened? Well what matter is the music. I haven’t listen to this album yet, but definitely it’ll be loud and at the same time inspiring.
Next, is Josh Groban’s “Noel”. I cant believe that I can buy it from a Christian bookstore. I was waiting for this album to be released at record bars. But to my disappointment, they didn’t. Luckily, ELIM has it. I heard so much about this album, Sis Emy recommended it months ago, even provided me a link where I can download the whole album. Sadly, I lost the link. Hehehe… anyway the wait is over and I got myself a copy. Whew, Josh Groban’s voice is really pleasing to the ears. Specially when he sang “Silent Night” and “I’ll be Home for Christmas”. Very heart warming, and you’ll really feel the spirit of Christmas while listening to this album. I recommend this album for those who live in countries who doesn’t celebrate Christmas like TAIWAN.
Last, on my list is Desperation Band’s latest album “Everyone Overcome”. Their first debut album is awesome. The melody and lyrics are great, just like Hillsong. So when I saw on the net that they have released a new album, I’ll definitely get one. So I did went to the NEW RELEASED section of the store, quite disappointed that its not there. So I assumed that it is not yet released yet in Taiwan. But something told me that I have to browse all section, luckily the store is organized alphabetically. There it is…. I approached someone from the teller and ask him why is this album not on the New Released section and told me that he doesn’t know. OK….So what have you purchased recently? hehehee
