My dream job…

Posted by jepoyzter under Uncategorized

It’s been almost a week now.

JOBLESS… but happy…

I think this is the most risky thing I did in my entire life. Right after college I didn’t bother being jobless for 2-3 months. But once you start working responsibilities comes and you cant ignore them. Yet, I think this is the right time to assess myself. What things could I still do? and What makes me happy?

Though I have been searching the net for job openings recently and there are some possible opportunities.

Since college I have been dreaming of getting in into editorial and publications. I started my career as a graphic and web designer for an advertising agency here in Taiwan. I felt fulfilled, and though that this could be a start of career I would pursue for the rest of my life. I took the opportunity and learned from experience.

But like most people, you’ll look for better salary and benefits. Thats why I jumped into doing marketing as a product marketing specialist, though I am really not a marketing nor business major. It is a very interesting and challenging field for me. Learning is really tough… and I say I really had a hard time, but in the end you’ll benefit.

I also turned to programming and web applications, which is I really should be doing. I had some cases ranging from easy to brain-draining projects, and I like it.

Now what is in-store for me in the future, no one can tell… But still love to pursue career in publications.

One company I truly dreamed to work for is Conde Nast Publications. Top publication company and home to many of the world’s celebrated magazines and websites.

Next on my list is Future Publications, home of the coolest gadget magazines base in UK. If in fashion magazine you get clothes, here you get gadgets. Really a first glimpse of the future.
