Regina Spektor - The Call from the sountrack
After several days of waiting since the movie started showing a week ago. Finally! I get the chance to watch the movie yesterday afternoon after my job interview.
I am really overwhelmed with the movie’s overall production. From the cast, settings, story, and fighting scenes. It is really a movie everyone should watch this summer. (Mike not yet late to bring John to the movie house, I know how much he loves lions.)
The story now revolves around Prince Caspian played by Ben Barnes, in which I say he really did give justice to the character. The rightful heir to the throne of the Telemarines, who is forced into hiding as his uncle Miraz plots to replace him with his own newborn son to succeed the throne. Prince Caspian found help from the Narnian’s despite what his own men did to them 1300 years ago in Narnian time. With the help of Susan’s horn, Prince Caspian was able to summon the Kings and Queens of Narnia. King Peter (William Moseley), King Edmund (Skandar Keynes), Queen Susan (Anna Popplewell), and Queen Lucy (Georgie Henley) are now back in Narnia from a year long stay in England. What they discover back in Narnia are just ruins of an extinct civilization of talking animal, Centaurs, fauns, and other creatures. Now, it is the quest of the sons and daughters of Adam and Eve to find out what happened to the kingdom they left behind.
Overall the movie is great! With some humor and overwhelming scenes that would touch your heart. And not to forget those cute little talking brave rats. Hehehehe…
Spoiler alert!!!!
Like how I enjoy the first sequel, this follow up film is definitely one among my favorite this year. Most memorable scenes are:
1. When Narnian’s debated in the wood to what are they gonna do to Prince Caspian as punishment to the fate they encounter. Prince Caspian defends himself and ask help from the Narnians to return to him his throne in promise of bringing back peace between Narnia and the Telemarines.
2. When Prince Caspian, show to the kings and queens of Narnia the stone table in Aslan’s How. I just can’t forget that scene where Lucy is at the center.
3. The attack the Narnian’s made at Miraz’s castle. After the fight scene where King Peter ask everyone to retreat the castle and looking back at his men who are left behind when the gates closed on them. This is one heart breaking scene.
4. After the sword fight between King Peter and King Miraz. When army of Telemarines advances towards Aslan’s How and catapults causes the door to collapse. Looking defeated Narnians would fight till death till help comes along the way.
5. When the trees came to help the Narnians, which push the Telemarines’s troop to retreat towards the river where Aslan and Queen Lucy awaits them on the other side.
6. The scene where the water destroy the bridge and eat one of the lords.

i like the scene where edmund told peter to “keep smiling”, when he had that sword fight w/ miraz ^ ..
#3 was really heart-breaking
another memorable scene was the white witch..
imho, i liked narnia (caspian) more than narnia (lww) .. siguro dahil mas madaming fight scenes hehe.
i was a bit disappointed though dun sa ending, kung pano nila na-defeat ung kalaban.. parang minadali.. pero maganda ung movie effects
maganda kaya ung book 3?
I hope so… sana… hehehe
