Prince Caspian
Posted by jepoyzter under Movies

Regina Spektor – The Call from the sountrack
After several days of waiting since the movie started showing a week ago. Finally! I get the chance to watch the movie yesterday afternoon after my job interview.
I am really overwhelmed with the movie’s overall production. From the cast, settings, story, and fighting scenes. It is really a movie everyone should watch this summer. (Mike not yet late to bring John to the movie house, I know how much he loves lions.)
The story now revolves around Prince Caspian played by Ben Barnes, in which I say he really did give justice to the character. The rightful heir to the throne of the Telemarines, who is forced into hiding as his uncle Miraz plots to replace him with his own newborn son to succeed the throne. Prince Caspian found help from the Narnian’s despite what his own men did to them 1300 years ago in Narnian time. With the help of Susan’s horn, Prince Caspian was able to summon the Kings and Queens of Narnia. King Peter (William Moseley), King Edmund (Skandar Keynes), Queen Susan (Anna Popplewell), and Queen Lucy (Georgie Henley) are now back in Narnia from a year long stay in England. What they discover back in Narnia are just ruins of an extinct civilization of talking animal, Centaurs, fauns, and other creatures. Now, it is the quest of the sons and daughters of Adam and Eve to find out what happened to the kingdom they left behind.
Overall the movie is great! With some humor and overwhelming scenes that would touch your heart. And not to forget those cute little talking brave rats. Hehehehe…
Spoiler alert!!!!
Like how I enjoy the first sequel, this follow up film is definitely one among my favorite this year. Most memorable scenes are:

Baskets full of laundry
Posted by jepoyzter under Random Post
I’ve been doing my laundry at home for two days now, and I am still not yet done. Arrrrrghhh when will you ever be done done done? Is it my fault doing my laundry only once in every two week, three weeks max? Manang (name we call our house help in Manila)? Where are you?
I seldom wash my clothes at home even though we have our own washing machine and still running like new. It’s just really hard to do it at the comfort of your own house (in my case). Let’s say it’s just my way of avoiding the tension with my brother. He’s a laundry addict and no one should touch the washer till his done washing, or else it means WAR. But who gets his/her laundry done if every day he would be washing his clothes. Sometime I think he does it on purpose just to piss me off. GRRRRRRRRRRRR
Right now, I still have one basket to go…. SIGH…

Back to reality
Posted by jepoyzter under Random Post
I can sense it…. almost near… dreaming is finally over. It’s finally time to face reality. No more over sleeping, no more over eating (hmmm…), no more over spending. Have to face myself now.
It’s almost been over 2 months now since I quit my job, and still counting. The longest vacation I had in my entire professional career life. I just really can’t imagine time really flies so fast. It’s like an hour ago you just woke from your sleep and the next hour your back again in your bed and rest for the next day. The fact that I am not doing much lately, what happened to all the days and weeks I spend doing nothing? BUMMER!
Now that I am sensing that vacation will soon be over. I need to prepare myself for challenges I have to face

Recently bought CDs

Had a quick tour at ELIM yesterday check out new released albums… and there fly a couple of cash… but its worth it. I love the selections this time.
Gateway Worship “Wake Up The World”
My much awaited follow up live worship album by Gateway Worship. The band that sang one among my favorite song “Every Breath” from the previous album “Living For You”. Listening to their new album is somewhat like brings excitement to me, just like the feeling I felt everytime Hillsong releases a new worship album.
I really recomend this album to those who want something fresh and like loud worship song. Their style is not that far from Hillsong’s style. But if you want something that would divert your long playlist of Hillsong songs for a while. Definitely this album is really just for you.
Jared Anderson “Where Faith Comes From”
Jared Anderson is now back… back… back… with his new solo album “Where Faith Comes From”. I think just few month ago Jared and his band “Desperation Band” just released a live worship album “Everyone Overcome”.
So far I like this second album more than the first one. Though it includes the songs “Promises” and “Ready Now” from Desperation Band’s first album. Other tracks are really good and catchy. I already have some favorite songs in this album like “Glorified”, “Call To Me” and “This Is Life”. Plus I like the album cover hehehehe…
On to the new found ones…..
Paradise “Set Me Free”
Heard their song being played at the store, not bad. Paradise is a band from Australia (again). Now I am counting how many churches are there in Australia.
Actually this album is quite old already dated 2004. But this is the first I heard of them, and I already started to like some of their song in this album. My favorite “Set Me Free” and “Longing For You”.
I looked at their site and seems like they released a new album this year. Will check it out soon.
Deluge Band “Deluge”
I was just really intrigued with the cover of this album. Not the typical live worship album recording cover, if compared to Hillsong or other band including stated above. Then listen to a couple of songs at the listening station, and heard some good ones.
Hmmmm I think some will complain again how loud they are, but I like loud.

泰市場 Spice Market
Posted by jepoyzter under Food
It’s been already a month ago when I receive a discount coupon to Spice Market, courtesy of PC Home. I already told and invited several people I know about it. A month past by and the coupon is about to expire yesterday. Oh well the coupon is not that inviting at all, I have to invite 3 more person to be able to avail the discount so one of us can eat for free (4 persons 1 person free). That’s the deal. One more thing is, you can only use it on weekdays, so weekends and holidays are an exemption. So, since only there were three of us and yesterday is Saturday, we didn’t have the chance to have a discount. But the manager who accommodate us at the counter was very much delighted with my accent (which I always get) and offered us a 10% discount. Well, better than none.
Spice Market is located at 6th Floor of Eslite Bookstore in XinYi District, Taipei (near Taipei 101). This restaurant is the one and only Thai buffet style seafood restaurant in Taipei. With over 70 mouth-watering courses ranging from appetizers, hot stir-fry dishes, soups, curries, satays, milk tea, Thai ice cream, to desserts, and a 100% Thai style atmosphere with timber, Thai silks, spices, and cannaceae, Spice Market is an indulgence for all the senses. According to their site which is very much TRUE. Rated as 5 star restaurant. You’ll really enjoy the food.
